To install networked HP printer and scanner on Ubuntu Linux
- Install the HPLIP (HP Linux Imaging and Printing) package:
sudo apt-get install hplip
- Run the HPLIP tool to detect the printer and scanner connected to your network:
hp-setup
- Follow the prompts to select the printer or scanner you want to install and configure it with the appropriate options.
- After the installation is complete, you can use the printer or scanner by running the appropriate commands such as “hp-print” or “hp-scan”
- You can also use the printer from applications such as LibreOffice Writer or GIMP by going to the “File” menu and selecting “Print” or “Scan”
Note: The above steps are for Ubuntu Linux. If you are using a different distribution of Linux, the commands and the options might be different.
