You can find out the wireless connection speed rate on Mac OS X by using the following steps:
- Click on the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar and select “Open Network Preferences.”
- In the Network Preferences window, select the Wi-Fi connection that you’re currently using.
- Click on the “Advanced” button.
- In the Advanced window, you’ll see a section called “Wi-Fi” that displays information about your connection, including the current link speed.
Alternatively, you can use the Terminal to find out the connection speed by using the following command:
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Apple80211.framework/Versions/Current/Resources/airport -I
This command will display a variety of information about your wireless connection, including the link speed, which is usually displayed in megabits per second (Mbps).
