To see a detailed history of yum
commands on CentOS or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), you can use the yum history
command with the following options:
yum history info [transaction-id]
Here’s what each option does:
info
: Show detailed information about a specific transaction.transaction-id
: The transaction ID of the command you want to view.
For example, to view information about the most recent yum
command, you can use the following command:
yum history info last
The resulting output will provide detailed information about the specified yum
command, including the date and time it was executed, the user who executed it, the command and its options, and the packages that were affected by the command.
You can also view a list of all yum
commands in the history by using the following command:
yum history
This will produce a list of all yum
commands in the history, along with their transaction IDs, dates and times, and descriptions of the commands. From this list, you can then use the yum history info
command to view detailed information about specific yum
commands.
