To reset the root password in MySQL, you can follow the steps below:<\/p>\n

  1. Stop the MySQL service:\n

  2. Start MySQL in safe mode:\n

    sudo mysqld_safe --skip-grant-tables<\/span> --skip-networking<\/span> &

  3. Connect to the MySQL server:\n
    \n
    <\/div>\n
    mysql -u root

  4. At the MySQL prompt, enter the following commands:\n

    use mysql;
