You can delete SSH keys on Mac OS X using the ssh-keygen<\/code> command line utility. The ssh-keygen<\/code> utility can be used to generate, manage, and delete SSH keys.<\/p>\n

Here’s the basic process to delete an SSH key:<\/p>\n

  1. Open the Terminal application.<\/li>\n
  2. Change to the directory where the SSH keys are stored by running the following command:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Use the ls<\/code> command to list the files in the directory and find the file that corresponds to the SSH key you want to delete. The file name will typically be in the format id_rsa<\/code> or id_ed25519<\/code>, followed by a file extension, such as .pub<\/code>.<\/li>\n
    2. Delete the private key file using the rm<\/code> command:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Note that you should only delete the files that correspond to the SSH key you want to delete. If you accidentally delete the wrong files, you will not be able to log in to remote servers using that key.<\/p>\n
