To configure a network interface on a pfSense system as a bridge or network switch, follow these steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Log in to the pfSense web interface.<\/li>\n
  2. Go to Interfaces > (assign).<\/li>\n
  3. Click the plus sign (+) to add a new interface.<\/li>\n
  4. Select the type of interface you want to create, such as “Bridge”.<\/li>\n
  5. Give the interface a descriptive name, such as “Bridge0”.<\/li>\n
  6. Select the physical interfaces that you want to include in the bridge from the list of available interfaces.<\/li>\n
  7. Leave the “Configure Interface” option unchecked.<\/li>\n
  8. Click Save.<\/li>\n
  9. Go to Interfaces > Bridge0 (or the name of the interface you created)<\/li>\n
  10. On the General Configuration tab, you can set options like IPv4 Configuration, DHCP Server, and IPv6 Configuration.<\/li>\n
  11. Click Save.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Once you have completed these steps, the network interface should be configured as a bridge or network switch and should be able to pass traffic between connected devices.
